Curriculum Corner – Nature Study

Here are some of the past subjects covered:

 

Nature_Study-225x300.jpgSpring is the perfect time to plan a nature study with your family! Enjoy a hike or visit a nature reserve to observe the plants, animals and insects of that area. Try naming a few of the trees that you find. It is also fun to bring paper and colored pencils for your learner to draw a picture of something they observed.

The Handbook of Nature Study website is a phenomenal resource to help explore nature.

There are so many amazing nature study sites in southern California! Check out some of these suggested locations to plan a special day out with the family.
