Katie Danna
Educational Facilitator
About Katie
Katie grew up in south Orange County in a family where both her parents were teachers and she spent a lot of time in her room as a little girl playing “school” with some of her parents’ teaching materials. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a teacher. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Child Development and her Teaching Credential from Concordia University, Irvine. She has nine years of experience working with learners in all grade levels and academic abilities in public and private school settings. Her last classroom teaching position gave her the opportunity to create an individualized learning program for students with learning differences that supported each learner’s academic, social, and emotional growth. The best part about that job was seeing students who struggled with learning love to learn and feel confident.
Katie is excited to be a part of the ilead team as an Educational Facilitator and she loves all the opportunities it provides learners to create their own personal educational journey. One thing she loves most about her role is connecting with families and seeing each learner’s unique love for learning. In her free time she enjoys camping, visiting National Parks, hiking, swimming, and spending time at the beach with her family.
