Original Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles
iLEAD Exploration learners toured the world-famous Original Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles. They learned about the history of the market, the family that owns it, and the many family-run businesses found at the market. Learners also got to sample goodies from many of the stalls, including freshly ground peanut butter and house-made toffee. Afterwards, learners scoured the market for yummy food and enjoyed lunch together.
Knott’s Berry Farm – Westward Movement Tour
Recently, iLEAD Exploration learners joined the Westward Movement tour at Knott’s Berry Farm. They learned about Black Bart and the stagecoach, the trail out west, and covered wagons. They also visited a one-room schoolhouse and watched a blacksmith demonstration. Our learners were able to enjoy the afternoon exploring Knott’s Berry Farm and all the amazing rides.
Astro Camp
Astro Camp was a blast! iLEAD Exploration learners had fun making new friends and learning about science while in the beauty of the Idyllwild Forest. Learners learned about lights and lasers, built windmills that generated electricity, rock climbed, zip lined, and played Gaga Ball. Astro Camp was an amazing experience that will be remembered for a lifetime!
