Beach Cleanup
Due to a weather forecast of rain and lightning, the beach cleanup last Friday, May 6, was rescheduled to May 20. Come to the Huntington State Beach lifeguard headquarters building and hear the California Department of Parks and Recreation staff give an informative Beach Cleanup Safety/Ecological Talk and a short Marine Debris Awareness Talk. Afterward, participate in a beach cleanup. Finally, stay and enjoy a fun beach day with other iLEAD families!

Descanso Gardens
Come join us for a beautiful day at Descanso Gardens in La Canada (near Pasadena) on Thursday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. We will enjoy a self-guided tour (you’ll receive information to help plan your day in advance) and lunch together in a designated picnic area. The trip is free for learners and siblings, and adults are $9, but we are limited to 30 children.
